Buying Beef in Bulk

Buying your beef in bulk is one of the most affordable ways to buy beef. You can save up to $1500 compared to buying individual cuts in the grocery store. By buying directly from us we pass the cost savings onto you so you are literally getting the lowest possible price. We typically harvest most of our beef in the fall. That is when we have seen the best quality of beef and when the animals are in their best body condition after grazing on green pasture all summer. If this is your first time purchasing a beef share, we recommend reading the details below so you know what to expect!

Share Sizes

We offer three different sizes to fit any family size and help you stock up your freezer. Each animal is a different size/weight, which is why we charge by the hanging weight of the beef so you pay for exactly what you are getting. Hanging weight is the weight of the beef once it hanging to be dry-aged at the processor. This weight does not include the head, hide, hooves, blood, organs, and innards, which have been removed.

You can expect about 60% of the hanging weight to be boxed meat then add organs and bones.

Quarter

Approximately 80-95 lbs of packaged beef

For a family of five a quarter beef can typically last three to four months. A quarter beef will take up about 5 cubic feet of freezer space. 

Half

Approximately 180 -200 lbs of packaged beef

For a family of five a half beef can typically last five to seven months. A half beef will take up about 12 cubic feet of freezer space. 

Whole

Approximately 400 lbs of packaged beef

For a family of five a quarter beef can typically last eight to twelve months. A whole beef will take up about 20-24 cubic feet of freezer space.

You will pay per pound of the hanging weight of your share of the beef.

The price per pound is determined by the share size you reserve.
