About the Recipe
Ingredients
1 CVP Arm or Chuck Roast
1 cup CVP Beef Broth or water
Garlic powder
1 Sliced onion
Redmonds saltÂ
Black pepper
Preparation
So many people ask me how to cook roasts, so here’s what we recommend.
The best roast, in our opinion, is cooked in the InstaPot. The pressure cooker really helps lock in moisture and create such tender and flavorful beef! (It also saves me when I forget to thaw stuff for dinner and I can toss a roast in!)
Add CVP Broth or water to pot. Add the CVP Roast to the instapot and generously cover with seasonings. Place onion slices on top.Â
Close lid and cook on manual for 100 minutes if thawed. (Add 20 minutes if frozen).
When done, shred meat with two forks and mix seasonings in.Â
If you want to add potatoes, carrots, or other vegetables, cook for 10 minutes less and add those in and cook for 10 more minutes.Â
What do we use roast for?Â
Nachos
Tacos
Beef stroganoffÂ
Burritos
Philly cheesesteak sandwichesÂ
Mixed with rice and vegetables like stir fry
