OUR LAND

Through holistic management, our cattle are kept together in one large herd and moved across the ranch. This allows the rangeland ample time to recover between each grazing cycle, aeration of the soil, and trampling of old growth. We move our cattle horseback and still feel that this is the most effective way to get things done.

The Ranchland is native rolling plains and a small portion of former farmland that has been reseeded to native grasses. Livestock graze on various grasses, forbs, legumes, and woody plants such as big bluestem, vine mesquite, sand dropseed, four wing saltbrush, Mormons tea, shinoak, lambsquarters, western indigo, prairie bundleflower, sand sagebrush, and Texas filaree just to name a few.
